Manta Point sits beneath the towering limestone cliffs of Nusa Penida's south coast. The reef here is a cleaning station: manta rays hover almost motionless over the coral while cleaner wrasse pick parasites from their skin and gills. Instead of a quick fly-past you get animals that circle, return and stay — often several at once — and they are generally larger than the mantas at Manta Bay.

The site is open to the Indian Ocean, so there is usually some swell and the boat ride is around 40 minutes. It is a spectacular trip for confident snorkelers. When the harbour master closes it in bigger swell (most often December–February), boats run to Manta Bay instead.
