A postcard bay with white sand, a coral garden on its north side and regular green turtle sightings. Best visibility on Nusa Penida.

Crystal Bay earns its name: on a good day you can see 30 metres. The bay is framed by a rocky islet and a white-sand beach, with the best coral on the north side where the reef drops away into blue. Green sea turtles graze here regularly, and between July and October the deep water off the point is one of the places oceanic sunfish (mola mola) come up from the depths.

It is the classic 'second stop' on most of our trips and a favourite for underwater photos because of the light.
