What to pack for a snorkeling trip (and what to leave at the hotel)

Our boats are traditional outriggers with a shade roof and not much else. Pack light and pack smart.

Bring

• Swimwear worn under your clothes. You will change on the boat or the beach.
• Reef-safe sunscreen (zinc-based, no oxybenzone) or, better, a long-sleeve rash guard. Nusa Penida's coral is what you came to see.
• A towel and something dry to wear after.
• A dry bag for phone, wallet and passport. Boats are wet.
• Hat and sunglasses for the boat ride.
• Seasickness tablets if you are prone to it, taken an hour before departure — especially for Manta Point.
• A little cash for a coffee at the harbour or for GoPro photos if you decide on the day.

We provide

Mask, snorkel, fins and a life jacket in your size, drinking water, and the guide. You are welcome to bring your own mask if you have one that fits well.

Leave behind

Drones (not permitted at the manta sites), speakers, and anything you would be sad to lose overboard.
