The classic morning trip. Manta Bay is the sheltered north-west feeding ground, so it stays workable when the south coast is rough. Three to four stops in two hours.
Manta Bay
A sheltered bay on the north-west coast where mantas feed near the surface. The most reliable site when the south coast is closed, and the shortest boat ride.
Gamat Bay
A narrow channel with dense hard coral and clouds of anthias, plus the shallow wall next door where nervous first-timers usually get comfortable.
Crystal Bay
The clearest water on the island on a good day, with a coral garden on the north side of the bay and frequent green turtle sightings.
